History

WK automotive has been an automotive translation company right from the start. WK were the initials of the person who set up the company. After its foundation in 1988, it carried out its first assignments for Louwman & Parqui, the licensed importer of Toyota vehicles in the Netherlands. Our principal activities consisted of translating instruction manuals and workshop manuals. Toyota remains one of our largest clients to date and WK automotive has meanwhile successfully added a large number of importers and manufacturers to its portfolio of clients. The company went on to provide additional services, such as in-house printing and the pressing of digital data storage media. In January 2003, all shares in WK automotive were acquired by the company's current directors, Robin Groenendijk and Monique Scipio. The company then began to expand its activities. Nowadays, the letters WK stand for Word Knowledge, which encapsulates the field in which we specialise. Our range of services has since been vastly expanded and now includes all combinations of European languages, while translations from and into the Asian languages form an additional specialist area. It is true to say that WK automotive has now become one of Europe's leading specialists in the production of automotive documentation.
