Second generation of the Groenendijk family at the wheel of WK Automotive

As of April 2021, all shares of WK Automotive have been acquired by Rutger Groenendijk. His father, Robin Groenendijk, who already stopped operational tasks in June 2020, has now transferred his company to his son and his wife, in its entirety.

Rutger Groenendijk, who’s been car-crazy since childhood, worked in the automotive industry after his studies in International Business (Avans Hogeschool) and International Management (Tilburg University).
At the request of his father, he joined the family business WK Automotive on 1 June 2013. He has been the Managing Director there since 1 September 2018.

Rutger, together with his wife Priscilla, who has been responsible for Finance and HR since the beginning of 2020, will continue the company on a trusted footing: “Just as everyone knows us, with expertise, quality and good service. We’ll keep investing in long-term, great relationships with loyal clients; some of them have been dealing with WK Automotive for more than thirty years.”

The history of WK Automotive

WK Automotive in Oosterhout was founded in 1988. The founder previously worked for the Dutch Toyota importer, Louwman & Parqui, where Robin Groenendijk also worked at the time. The former colleagues came together again when Robin took up the reins as Company Director of WK Automotive on 1 September 2000. On 21 January 2003, he took over the business from his former colleague. Robin developed WK Automotive into the well-known technical translation agency and the ISO-certified documentation specialist it is today.
